My name is Gina and I am part of Ikamva Labantu, where we operate factories and training centres in Guguletu and Cape Town.
The people working in our centres come from disadvantaged circumstances. The able-bodied work alongside the disabled, all with equally important roles in production, our dolls and animals are stuffed by the blind who are able to do this quickly and efficiently. We have extendied our family of dolls and animals which can be found in this catalogue. We hope you enjoy browsing through through these pages as mutch as we did putting them together
Our dolls and animals are crafted in pure cotton
fabrics. The designs are ethnic like those worn by the people of Africa.
They are an exciting combination of colours and prints which are a part
of the African culture.
· The toys are stuffed with all new materials, which are fire resistant.
· Everything is fully washable and safe for children to play with.
· Each doll is individually made and has its own character.
· Our stuffed toys have passed the u.s.a. safety test.
The fabrics we use are assorted prints which come in multi-colour or blue print. To make ordering easy we have called them multi which is a combination of bright prints or blue which is blue and white print.
